Well. I just downloaded R8 and read the change log. R7 says that the priority has been set to below normal. So when i open sliderdock, the program won't run at all except at the taskbar. The dock won't show at all. But when i go to task manager and click priority to normal, everything works perfectly fine then if i change it back to below normal, the program freezes. Any ideas? maybe make a script that doesn't start sliderdock's priority below normal.

The way I programmed it is when it load, the priority is below normal but once loaded it automatically goes back to plain normal.
I'm looking into why SliderDock is freezing and if I can get an error message and jump over the priority line instead.
edit: can you test with another application like calculator for example to see if it's SliderDock specifically that freeze when the priority is changed?
I couldn't find the reason why it happens or what is the cause but I added an option to turn it off,
and it will be off by default.
But I need a bit more time to check that the changes I made works correctly before releasing the new version.
I'll try to make the release on Monday.
I got another bug, the 'enable sound' option crashes the program if it's checked. I never really noticed this till i found out there is a sound option. but after enabling it and rotating the ring, the dock crashes.
So it's still crashing. I read the code I found and implemented in R7 actually fix this problem for other application.
On which OS are you? and is it 32 or 64bit?
I know on my pc it works, so maybe new OS have some code change that break compatibility with it.
Thanks for reporting this bug though.
Hopefully once I upgrade my PC to a newer windows I'll be able to test it first hand and find the cause of those bugs.
But I'll keep searching for a solution.
you mean it still crash even without sound?
Can you check in SliderDock installation folder to see if there's a "errorlog.txt" file.
If there is one, send it to my email.
I'm looking right now in a possible way to catch all error that's happening in SliderDock.
Hopefully in the next release, it'll be easier to know the cause of an error.
Thanks for the feedback, I am still looking for the cause and hopefully I should be able to test it myself once I upgrade my pc in a few days.
Though I am thinking to gray out the sound option in the next version if I can't find a fix for it.
