The code for the sound wasn't stable and made SliderDock crash.
Since I never found why this occurs I removed it.

Is it possible to let the user define what sounds he/she want's that way you could add none to start with and there would be no copy infringe and on top of that everyone would have the sounds there happy with.

I've been doing my own sound ediitations here and there, and have been looking around for the Altimit Mine OS sound effects for the longest time.
I would greatly desire a linked copy of these if possible~! ::]

you can legally use the sound in anything, but like i said you cant gain money from whatever it is

If it's copyrighted, then it's better not to use it. Just in case.
I'm sure there must be some other sound I can use.

the sounds are copyrighted,

but as long as you encode the sounds(you might not have too),
and you don't gain money from the application you will be fine as far as copyrights,

gain money meaning people buying the application.

if you need the sounds from Altimit Mine OS i can give them too you.

the .hack sounds are good but I think they are copyrighted.
Making this application is a learning process for me so adding the effect when launching an application will not be added for now.
But I'd like to add it in a future version if possible.Though I'll have to test if the animation will not be too irritating either, as when you will run an app, it will take longer to launch it.
I think it would be nice only the first few times but after it would start to bother the user.

I have a suggestion for sounds; The ones from the .hack games :)
Also a small suggestion; you know when you open a "program" in .hack, everything like jumps around like crazy and then showing the program. Pretty useless, but a cool effect! (Both me an Joel started playing .hack yesterday and got really fasinated about Mine OS, Hi Joel! *waves* :))

I am planning to add sound effects during the rotation.
Since there will be sound effects, adding another one at launch should be possible.
But it will depends if I can find some nice sound to use too.

Is there a way to change the font color of the discriptional text?
At the moment it is red, witch kinda blows.
Perhaps an option not to show the discriptional panel that pops upp if you hold your mouse over the selected icon.
Or maby even options to allways show it.
